Beach sits on the coast as the gateway to Orange County
between the cities of Long Beach and Huntington Beach.
With a population of 25,098, Seal Beach is the home of
Leisure World, a gated senior citizen community of
approximately 7-10,000 persons. The Seal Beach Naval Weapons
Station comprises 2/3 of the land within the City.
Major employers in the
City are Boeing and the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station.
Recreation is varied and abundant in Seal Beach with the
focus of attraction being the municipal pier. The main beach
provides one mile of white sandy beaches attracting nearly
one million tourists per year. Surfside provides an
additional 3/4 of a mile of sandy beach.
A short 20 minute drive takes you to
Disneyland or Knotts Berry Farm, and only a 5 minute drive
takes you to the new Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach.
